One sensible addition to make is to replace the standard loops of
line through the top and bottom of the handles, with some lines that is
knotted at about 2 cm intervals.
This allows you to adjust the relative lengths of the upper and
lower lines in order to give yourself more forward or backwards (i.e.
brake) movement. This is useful for two reasons:
- You can adjust the lines according to wind strength - more wind, lengthen the top lines, less wind, shorten
the top lines. Or find a combination of lengthening/shortening the
tops/bottoms to get something you like. So long as it's the same both
sides.......
- Usually over time the top lines stretch - by quite a lot (bear in
mind that the top lines take most of the strain when flying). As
Revolution lines are meant to be exactly the same length (all 4 of
them) this causes problems flying over a period of time. Therefore
being able to quickly compensate the line length whilst flying means
you don't have to resleeve the whole line set (who wants to do that for
fun? Especially when there is a good wind?)
